orville stoeber - '70 song

 베니스에서 살고 있다는 stoeber씨. 70년에 단 한장의 앨범을 내고 35년동안  세상과 단절되어 있다가 최근 몇년동안 컨트리 소올 포크가 겹합된 몇장의 앨범을 발매를 한다. (그의 홈페이지에 가면 들을수가 있는데 최근에 발매된 앨범들임에도 불구하고 굉장히 멋지다 ). 70년에 뉴욕에서 앨범을 녹음을 하고 감쳐있었던 그의 삶은 어땠을까?  45년의 세월동안 오로지  밤마다 기타와 친구를 하며 살와 왔는데 ..이젠 누군가에 자기의 이야기를 하고 싶다는 그..

 그의 독특한 음악을 어떻게 표현을 해야할까?   스토에버씨의 음악은  처음 들을때 와 두번 들을 때의 맛이 틀리다. 들을수록 그의 소박한 음악의 매력에 빠지게 되는데, 풀빛이 난다고 할까?  재즈의 자유로운 느낌이 나는 어코스틱한 기타연주와 포크의 소박한 보이스가 겹쳐져 있다고 해야할까.. 이것은 다른 포크 뮤지션과 차별을 짖는 느낌을 준다. (물론 순전히 주관적인 느낌이다. 세월이 지나서 좀더 멋진 표현을 할수 있기를 바랄뿐이다..  ㅠ .ㅠ) 

비오는 날 베니스의 밤은 어떨까 ?  바다의 습한 물기를 머금고 불빛이 번지겠지.. 바다냄새와 비냄새가 섞여 공기를 떠돌며......

Hello out there in hyperspace,

I've been hiding most of my life, but as I sit here on a rainy night in Venice, CA, I feel compelled to tell you something about myself. I've had a friendship with the guitar for nigh on to 45 years and it has ultimately brought me to this strange place that has come to be known as hyperspace, to share what I have dreamed in small rooms on this planet and collected into bouquets of songs for you.

You will see some images as well; they are gifts and reflections of times when music won't do and the beauty of an object is all I can consider.
